HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Terms and Conditions:

Eligibility: The giveaway is open to individuals aged 16 years or older at the time of entry.
Entry Requirements: Entrants must have a valid Facebook account and comply with all entry instructions provided in the giveaway post. Entrants who have created social accounts purely for the purpose of entering Competitions or Sweepstakes will not be eligible to win.
Location Requirement: Entrants must be able to attend the First Aid course either in Albany, WA or Bunbury, WA, Australia, to be eligible to win.
Winner Selection: Winners will be randomly selected on Thursday, 6th June 2024, after 10:00 AM AWST. The selection process will be conducted fairly and impartially.
Notification of Winners: Winners will be notified via text message or phone call within 24 hours of the selection. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 72 hours of notification, another winner will be selected.
Prize Details: The prize consists of two tickets to a nationally recognised First Aid course, valued at $358. The course date, time, and location will be provided to the winners upon confirmation of their attendance.
Publicity: By entering the giveaway, participants agree to allow ATC Work Smart to use their name and likeness for promotional purposes related to the giveaway without any further compensation.
Release of Liability: By participating in the giveaway, entrants release ATC Works Smart from any liability arising out of participation in the giveaway or acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize
Agreement to Terms: Participation in the giveaway constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Provide First Aid is an 8 hour course delivered face to face in 1 day.

Training and assessment for this course is conducted face to face.

If you have no prior training or experience in first aid. We recommend a blended mode which comprises of:

Completing 3 hours of unsupervised pre course study prior to the face to face training and assessment.
To assist you with your self-directed study we have developed a pre-course study kit which is made available on enrolment.

All learning resources and materials required for training will be supplied by ATC Work Smart for use during the program. Following enrolment students will be supplied an electronic version of the learner guide.

Student Support Services

We have identified a number of support services for students who have special needs, or require additional support and assistance to undertake or complete their learning. Please discuss any concerns you may have with your trainer assessor.

Unit of Competency - HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Direct observation assessments where you are required to demonstrate the correct first aid procedures in four scenarios, in front of the Assessor:

Unconscious, Non-Breathing Adult CPR
Infant Choking and CPR
Anaphylaxis
Asthma Attack

Participants will also need to demonstrate the ability to provide first aid for:

Bleeding Control
Wound Dressing
Sprain/Strain
Fracture and Shock
Envenomation

2. Structured activity where you are to complete an incident report

3. Knowledge questions where you need to answer all questions correctly

Personal information collected from entrants, such as their name and phone number, will be used solely for the purpose of contacting winners and notifying them about their prize. This information will not be used for any other purpose or shared with any third parties without the explicit consent of the entrant
